THE TRIP TO THE BOOKSTORE

We finally were able to take a trip to the LDS bookstore today. It's always so hard to go there because you just want to get everything in sight! The temple was just across the street. This is the first time Chris and I had seen it. It is a tiny temple but just as beautiful as the rest! We have been so busy trying to get situated that we have yet to make it over there but it's a goal for us to visit at least twice a month. We have always managed to live close to a temple but never really took advantage of it. Life always kept us so busy. At General Conference this past Sunday I was really impressed by the story of the members that had to travel 5 days across the states to the nearest temple just to visit for a weekend and then turn right back around for another 5 day trip. What courage and commitment that took on their parts; to sacrifice soooo much, financially especially. I don't know if I could or would have ever done that, but it hit me hard that we have come so far and members have sacrificed so much that it's a sin to not take advantage of what we have and how easy it is to be apart of those blessings and covenants that we receive. I look forward to the special memories we will make in this Columbia temple.

I was touched by that talk too, Blanca. As I sat there and heard that story, I was in awe of the commitment and the amount of faith that those dedicated members had. You're right, we have no reason not to go. The temple is the most wonderful place on Earth. It's a place of peace, joy and beauty unlike any other.

You guys are seriously the cutest! I am already putting the buzz in Kenn's ear to come up for a visit. We still have never been there in the five years that we have been here. Sad huh. Life gets to busy and he is gone ALL the time! I know nothing is a good enough excuse, we just need to make it happen!
