We had our Annual Pinewood Derby a couple of weeks ago. The rules- there were none, just that there were to be no open flames...so we were excited to see how creative they would be.
We had 26 cars in the derby. Here is a picture of them lining up. We had everything from a battery operated hand fan helping the speed to cars loaded with pennies and batteries to help the weight of them.
What's an event without FOOD!?! ~ a church event that is...lol
And there is the track. All the kids lined up beside it for front row action. Chris and Bro. Kehoe were assigned by the bishop to use their authority to make the calls! haha
Bishop Strickland let lil' Chris use his truck, the blue and sliver on the far right. It was called the Windsor Lake Love Truck!
The Watts boys decided to strap down a bit of CO2. On cue, they tapped at it and boom, the truck was nowhere in sight!
Here's a picture of their truck blowing off the track. Can you see? It's not even on the track?!? It was sooo- crazy. I LOVED IT!!!
...and the award goes to....the WATTS boys, of course!
