Okay, this blog is for my mother. Early this week Chris came home for lunch and asked me to go check out a hutch that our neighbor was selling. Since we have always wanted one of those things I went ahead and checked it out. It is so nice and they were selling it for a price that couldn't be beat. So we took it. While I was there I started glancing around at all the other things they were trying to get rid of before their moving date. SOOOO many unwrapped toys, desks, all things that were practically brand new. I had to hold myself back and just took 2 things for the kids that I knew would be used ALL the time. Mom wanted to see the things we added to the house so here it is Mom!
The hutch. No scratches, dents, NOTHING...great shape! We are soooo excited about it and keep staring at it everytime we come into the room! I know, we are corny! lol
This is a glider, all wood, no sctraches or markings. The best part is the horse that they can hold onto to rock without falling out. Mia LOVES this chair; it's the first thing she gets on in the morning and hardly ever gets off. She has even started eating there instead of her highchair. She's too funny. So yes, it was worth it to see her smiling face glide back and forth. So cute!
The train table. It comes up to Chris' waste so it's perfect size for them both. He keeps all his cars, trucks, trains in the drawer and gets very upset when Mia misplaces them. He has always loved these tables so I knew it would be worth the buy. Now he can stop playing cars on our coffee table! Later that day their youngest son came over 3 times to give us some toys that they knew the kids would like. They even gave us a Black n Decker Workshop full of all the tools and equipment for Lil' Chris. Oddly enough, that was one of the gifts I was giving him for his birthday so I was excited about that. We hid it til the big day. So for under $100 we came out with 3 pieces of furniture and 5 nice toys. Needless to say, it was an awesome day! lol
