A Legacy of Fishermen

Saturday evening Chris wanted to hit the water with lil' Christopher for a bit and asked me to come along and take some pictures. I had been wanting to go for a while, but always hesitate because I am scared of dropping my camera while trying to handle MiaLuz and making sure she doesn't fall in the water. For some reason, I felt brave that day so I decided to go for it! So here's the adventure...this first pic is out of order, but I had to put it in because I love it so much.

And they start the walk; well, Daddy is walking, Christopher is skipping with excitement!

Daddy accidentally rocked the boat when Chris was just sitting down. Although it was still on land, it freaked him out a bit. I just had to capture the moment on camera. It was too cute; he froze for a couple of seconds and then looked back at Daddy and ordered him not to do that to him again!

I fell in love with all the Lilly pads...it is so beautiful out there!

Although MiaLuz stayed ashore, she didn't waste a minute jumping in the boat while I tried to "capture the moment"

Chris has this permanent smile for the rest of the day when he has gone fishing with daddy!

I will be blowing up this photo and making it one of our most precious pictures on our wall!

It was a beautiful evening and I hope to be able to take even better ones soon...Daddy is so proud that lil' Chris loves fishing as much as he does. He will join the Legacy of the Flores Fishermen!

lil' bit about the Flores Family!

We were each other's first love back in 8th grade. Besides the fact that we were teenagers, we always knew we would marry each other....And so we did. We married in the Houston, Texas temple in 2001. Lil' Christopher joined our family in June 2005, MiaLuz in October 2007, and Baby Adan in 2010. We are so blessed in many ways. Although we miss our family in Texas, we love our friends and family here in Columbia. Chris is currently 2nd Counselor in the Windsor Lake Ward and I am the Choir Director. We love our callings and love being in the ward. But can't wait til the day we can go back to our home, TEXAS! Until then, we will continue to go wherever the ARMY sends us. Chris is currently a Captain in the US ARMY and is so proud to serve this country,and I am proud of him for having that love, determination, and dedication. ARMY STRONG! Our kids are our world. Everyday brings a new challenge along with a new blessing. They are truly our greatest accomplishment and joy in life. We look forward to seeing their wonderful spirits grow in the gospel.
