This year we spent our holiday weekend with a group of our friends. We all decided to go out to dinner and then head to the Fort Jackson festivities. We arrived 3 hours early and still had to walk over 1/2 mile to the main field where all the hoopla was. After less than 5 minutes of walking uphill we came across an open field. Because of the trouble of the hike and all we decided to set camp there and enjoy the open field, and be the first ones out the gate. We ended up having some followers who joined us and we had a great time. There were 20 of us total. It was a great evening of relaxing with the friends kiddos.

Then they took time out for the video games. Mialuz played the Leapster,
while Chris and his buddy, Hampton played their Nintendo DS.

When the sun went down we brought out the sparklers.
Mialuz was a bit skeptical of the sparkler so she pigged out instead! Typical Mia! lol
