HALLOWEEN NIGHT

So we started off the night going to the Ward Trunk or Treat. We were excited to go and be apart of it for the first time. The plan was to go there and make it back in time to walk the neighborhood with Chris for a bit. Here are the pictures of the nights' festivities.

GOOO Longhorns!!! She's the cutest Cheerleader isn't she!?!
Meemaw sent the matching bow for her birthday.

And there's our BATMAN showing his muscles!!!

There's the view of the cars...we had a great turn out!
And under is our friends. They won best costume. She made them both (Fred and Wilma Flintstone) This picture doesn't do them justice. It was adorable!

And there's our Trunk...yeah, kinda shabby compared to the others but we tried.
Next year will be better.

Bishop Strickland and our soldier...

Once Chris found batman #2 that was it; they were inseperable the rest of the night.
They just kept holding hands and would stop occasionally, look at each other and giggle. It was so cute.

And you can't forget their friend, Incredible Hulk! Too funny I thought.

There's Chris dancing to the Thriller song that was playing on the porch...
and Abuela playing along...

And there's Abuela standing outside giving away the candy.

So we were all set to take Chris around the neighborhood so he could experience "trick or treating". He was so excited to go and headed out the door first. All of a sudden he ran back inside panting...I looked out the glass door and these two ugly faces were right at our doorstep. It even freaked me out because we hadn't heard them come up the stairs...well, Chris jumped into my arms and squeezed me the tightest he ever has. He kept saying, "MONSTERS, MONSTERS!!! I don't want to see them! " They took their masks off so he could see that they were just boys but it was too late; the damage had been done and that was the end of the night for Christopher. He made me take him to his room, take his costume off and just wanted to lay down. I left him there while I went back downstairs for a bit and when I went back to check on him he was completely covered with his blanket, curled up in a ball sitting on his chair. Poor baby! He slept with Abuela and she said he was up all night asking where the monsters were...and it's the first thing he said to me in the morning... better luck next year huh!

So of course MiaLuz took advantage of Chris not being around and was in his candy bucket all night long...

The kids look adorable!!! I'm so sorry to hear some little monsters spoiled his night and sleep. Ward parties are great because no masks are allowed. I hope next year he will have forgotten this, and go out and trick or treat!! Your mom looks so festive!! My mom loves dressing up as well. Must run in the family.

How fun! I was out of town for Halloween and Josh's costume came out pretty good. He dressed up as a fisherman (in his waders, boots, fishing hat) and he had his fishing rod. At the end of the rod on a hook was a bloody arm (plastic of course). Nice, I know! Bertha got photos, anyway, it was funny.
