This past Monday and Tuesday Chris actually had the days off for Veteran's day. He had befriended Brother Perez from church and it turns out that he has a passion for hunting. He has been hunting a plot of land just 10 minutes from our home. (If I hadn't mentioned it before, in our neighborhood there are deer that live among us. There are so many trees and mini forests that you literally see them walking the streets at night. It's so awesome!)
Chris has always loved hunting but has never had the time to really take up the hobby so he jumped at the invitation to go out with Bro Perez. They were up in the trees by 5 am every morning and on day 2 of the excursion, Chris shot and killed his first doe...He was so excited. Needless to say we do not need to buy meat anytime soon!!! Gma Flores can't wait to come over and make some Carne Guisada with it....yum!!!!
