All day Friday everyone was talking about the snowfall that we were supposed to be receiving late in the afternoon. This was the third time this season that we were promised snow so I really didn't think too much into it. Well, we were getting ready to go to a birthday party and by the time we were leaving the house it had already began to fall, HARD! On the way out of the party, the snow had already covered the roads...so of course, I pulled out the camera to take some snapshots...
The whole family was excited about the whole thing. That was until we reached our house and realized our driveway was too steep to make it up without losing traction.
We tried a couple of times and ended up parking on the street and slowing walking up the hill. (Can you imagine how scared I was to fall 8 months prego!?! Not a good feeling.)
After we took the kiddos in, Chris went back out and shoveled the ice and snow enough to get the Tahoe in the garage; PHEW!) Many of our neighbors weren't as fortunate. All night we saw vehicles trying for hours to get up their hill. Some decided to park on the top of the hill and walk down to their homes, to ensure their vehicles were able to get out in the morning...I have to admit, we had a blast watching people try to ease their way down the slope and then disappear from a sudden slip or fall....It was so funny to watch; I know, that is mean, but we couldn't stop laughing! lol Needless to say, we were up bright and early and quickly snuggled up the kids for their first snow experience! I appologize in advance for all the pictures, but this is a new experince for us all and we couldn't help ourselves!

It looks like a winter wonderland! I think the trees look so beautiful frosted with snow. I'm glad your kids enjoyed the cold snow. It does not snow here in Camas, wa. It has twice in the 5 years we have been here. My kids love it. And of course the whole Portland area shuts down. At the drop of snow fall. Stay warm!:)
