Chris' First Day of Preschool!

Today was Chris' first day of school. He has been ready to start for months now. He is so bored at home since there are no kids his age around the neighborhood. Our play time is very limited because there is only so much I can do with MiaLuz by my side. So he would get bored easily and then start trouble because of the boredom. Ever since he turned four, he would say he is now a big boy and can go to school. He just couldn't understand why he had to wait all summer long! I, in turn am excited for a couple of reasons: For one, I can now have some "MiaLuz" time, which is something I have yet to have with her. Grocery shopping will be much easier with only one child in the cart instead of trying to fit the food around the 2 kids! And the most important, I can have nap time along with MiaLuz. Going into month 3 of my pregnancy, this has become a priority and I notice if I am not able to nap I am ready to pass out by 3 o'clock! So this was a great day for the both of us!

The minute he woke up he was asking to get ready. I just wonder how long this excitement will last! lol

Outside the school...

He was literally rushing me to get in the building...

His class is called the "Rockin' Redfish", very suitable for a fisherman!

I wasn't able to take a photo leaving him because he started acting kinda funny so I just left, but I did take this one when I picked him up. He was having so much fun!

Smiling for me one last time while getting his lunch box!

I must admit, it was really weird getting into the car minus a child! I thought to myself, "What the heck am I gonna do with myself!?!" I went to Target right after and was so amazed on how smooth the shopping went. When it was nap time for Mia, I walked out of her room and it was so quiet; it was almost a little eary! But I got a couple of things done and went down with her. AH, the first nap without 5 interruptions...it was GRAND!

All in all, a wonderful day. I was even entertained for the rest of the afternoon with Chris singing 2 new songs that he learned. He had a wonderful day, and so did I! ; )

Wow, what a big boy he is! I can't wait to see his progress as the year ensues. And, I am sure it is a much needed break for you, especially since baby #3 is on the way. Keep the photos coming!!
