It's Snowing in Columbia!!!!

Okay, just like in South Texas, winter in Columbia does not consist of falling snow. So, when we found out it was going to be snowing this morning we were very doubtful. But lo and behold, we woke up to a white neighborhood. Of course, since we have no clue how to react to this the city freaks out and shuts down. Chris was called early this morning that there would be no PT and instead of having to report in at 5:30am he was to be there by 9:00am. Needless to say, he was very happy about that. So here are some pictures. It's not much, but it's a big deal to us that never see it! We were loving it and the kids were having fun watching it fall!

Yay for snow!! I love that anytime it snows a tiny bit in the south, everything shuts down! Here we can get 12 inches and it's nothing!!

Sounds like Columbia and Portland are the same. The smallest speck of snow and school is cancelled or delayed 2 hours. We got are share of snow in December, and I'm glad it has come and gone. My kids missed a whole week of school because of snow!!
