As many of you know, 2 days before Christmas we were in a car accident. Besides me bumping my head, and receiving a tiny scratch due to the seat belt, no one was injured. We were blessed in many ways:
-Blessed to have children that remained calm and collected during the whole ordeal
-Blessed to have been in an SUV. I know for a fact that if we were driving a rent-a-car, like we normally get everytime we come home, the outcome would have been much different.
-Blessed to have a WONDERFUL insurance company that helped us get moving and back on the road as quick as possible (USAA, you're the best!)
-Blessed to have friends that were willing to drop everything to help with the kids when we needed them. (Thank you Jen and Marcelo!)
-Blessed to have family that kept us in their prayers and contacted us as soon as the word was out. Your love was felt and we appreciate it!
-Blessed to be alive and well! Sometimes it takes a close call to bring things back into perspective. With all the madness of the Christmas holiday, the thing that I pondered on the most the rest of the time there was how blessed we were to all be there, with our family. No greater joy!

Good to see you guys over the holiday, it seems like we hardly saw you guys though - the visit was not long enough! next year make it a whole month. ;)
