The Greatest Gifts of the Week

I wanted to post my favorite things that happened this past week...

#1: The present- On Sunday, lil' Chris was handed his Christmas gift that he wasn't here to receive since we left so early in December. The Primary Presidency had made one of these plaques for each one of the kiddos in primary. Isn't it just beautiful? How thoughtful and creative. It went up on the mantel immediately.

#2: The boots- On Saturday we took some clothes to a Consignment store and found these boots for lil' Chris. They are practically brand new, and since both boys are hooked on boots right now they both were wearing smiles from ear to ear. Big Chris right away said, "We're getting them!"; that was after a comment that he didn't want to buy anything and defeat the purpose of taking the clothes in for some extra cash! Lil' Chris wanted to put them on for a try. They are a size too big, which is perfect since he already has some for now; these will replace the current ones when the time comes. Walking around, Chris started the strut, and insisted that they fit "Yup, Yup!" He kept saying. The mothers near by kept commenting how adorable he and the shoes were. It was so cute. The price $6.50...can you believe it!

#3: Our little soldier- I am well into my nesting phase and while we were cleaning up this week Chris found Daddy's old patches and beret. Were weren't paying much attention to him, happy he was just out of the way. Then I look up and see this picture; he was making faces at himself in the mirror (like the second picture shows). I had to pull out the camera...He is obviously proud of his Daddy!

#4: Our beautiful kids-The family was invited to a social to meet and greet the other families whose spouses started up the schooling that Chris is now into... So we dolled up the kiddos and headed out...I of course had to snap a photo before heading out!

Comments were given how cute our kids were, and of course we HAD to agree...

I thank the Lord everyday for the wonderful blessing in our lives. The best gifts of all are always the wonderful memories given to us by our children. I try to imagine how lil' Adan is going to be. Who will he be more like? Or will he be completely different than the other two? We are all excited to found out!
