Chris' first soccer practice!

Yesturday was Chris' first soccer practice. Not to my suprise, he did really well. He has never really played soccer except for a few days here and there when we had him kicking the ball to get used to it. From the first time he kicked that ball he looked like a pro. He was even trying to do the fancy footwork that he has seen others do on the field. It was so cute to see him out there and all the parents just got a kick out of him. One said that he must watch Beckem (however you spell his name...) play cuz he's trying his moves. So here are some pictures of the practice.

So here's the story on these pictures. They were doing a drill where they were taking turns kicking the ball to the net while the others just ran beside them to get used to the game. Well, Chris wasn't trying to do that. Everytime someone took off running with the ball he went after it and tried to take it away. You see the tall girl in the pink shirt in back of Chris up on top picture? Yup, it was her turn with the ball and he snatched it from her and took off to the net. Crazy, a girl double his size and it didn't even phase him! Go baby boy!

So there they are on the run to the net...

Chris came up from behind and snatched it again for the score! Then he turned around and yelled, "I won, I won!" HMMM, not exactly a team player yet huh...we will have to work on that.
